Talking to HELLO! Before hosting the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center on Nov. 30, Savannah revealed that her kids won’t be looking forward to watching because they’re sleeping early.

“While the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade is great for kids to watch because it starts at 9am, the tree lighting starts at 8pm and we both have kids who go to bed early because we go to bed early,” she explained. ! So it’s lights out. 8pm!”
Savannah loves being a mom and making incredible memories with her young family during the holiday season.

Over the weekend, the NBC star took to Instagram to share photos of herself and her children decorating a Christmas tree with handmade ornaments.

Savannah also told HELLO! About his Christmas plans and why it’s so special to his family. “Christmas is always a very special time in my family,” she said. “My father was born on Christmas and it was his favorite holiday too. There was magic around it and I try to recreate that for my children.”
Savannah continued, “I want them to feel like this is a magical time that I’ve always felt and cherished. I want to keep the old traditions alive, but also start new ones.” The mother of two then elaborated on the traditions, saying: “When we were little we never wore matching PJs. Now we do.”

Not that Michael was too impressed by this decision. “And there’s my husband and he’s wearing this ridiculous thing and I put it on Instagram,” Savannah said with a laugh.
