Sharon Cuneta attends first Hollywood movie premiere for Jo Koy’s ‘Easter Sunday’

Sharon Kanta attended her first Hollywood movie screening in Los Angeles, California where she watched ‘Easter Sunday’ starring Filipino-American comedian Joe Cui.

The megastar showed up on the film’s “pink carpet” at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, wearing a Jot Losa jumpsuit and a vintage 1980s Escada velvet jacket, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, August 3.

Cuneta was photographed at the movie premiere by photographer Sthanlee Mirador, who also photographed Filipino celebrities Vina Morales, Ylona Garcia, Raymond Gutierrez and Mica Javier on the pink carpet.

Cuneta previously teased her appearance at the “Easter Sunday” premiere by giving a glimpse of the TCL Chinese Theater on her Instagram page last Tuesday, August 2.

“Easter Sunday” is a movie about a family coming together on Easter Sunday. The film has an all-Filipino cast and is produced by American producer and director Steven Spielberg.

Koi as the main character alongside Jamie O. Starring Young, Tia Carr, Brandon Wardell, Eva Noblezada, Lydia Gaston, Asif Ali, Rodney Tu, Eugene Cordero, Jay Chandrasekhar, Tiffany Haddish and Lou Diamond Phillips.

In May of last year, Cuneta reportedly hinted at missing out on a role in “Easter Sunday.” At the time, he revealed that he did not star in the Spielberg-produced Hollywood film because of a “false positive” Covid-19 test.

Cuneta did not identify the film, although she noted that it has an all-Filipino cast. She also said that she was supposed to play Aunt Coy in the film, a role that was eventually given to Carrer. /ra
