Proctors’ Fandom Fest to feature celebrities, vendors, and events

SCHENECTADY, ​​NY (NEWS10) – Proctors Theater in Schenectady is set to host its first ever “Fandom Fest” on August 12th, 13th and 14th. The three-day event will be a celebration of fan culture and allow guests to share their love. Have your favorite show, anime, game or movie.

The event features celebrities, vendors, and events for nerds, geeks, readers, gamers, and everyone else. Tickets for the event are on sale, with single and three-day passes still available. Tickets can be purchased at the Proctors box office, in person, by phone at (518) 346-6204 or online at the Proctors website.

Celebrities

  • James Masters, best known as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.
  • Roger Bumps, best known for playing Squidward’s tentacles in the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series.
  • Elden Henson was Fulton Reed in The Mighty Ducks trilogy, Foggy Nelson in Daredevil, and Pollacks in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Debbie Rochon, best known for starring in indie horror and counterculture films including The Hunger Games and Sludgetown Massacre.
  • Amber Benson is best known for her role as Tara McLean in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
  • Lee Clark, best known as the anime voice actor for My Hero Academia.
  • Jim Cummings is a voice actor who has appeared in nearly 400 roles, including Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, the Tasmanian Devil, and Duckwing.
  • Rob Paulsen is a voice actor best known for Pinky and the Brain, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Jimmy Neutron.

  • The Film Palace will screen old movies, trailers, cartoons and TV shows during the festival.
  • Gaming Insomniacs is hosting an Esports tournament, giving participants a chance to win $1,000 by competing in either “Super Smash Bros” or “Rocket League”.
