Cool your jets: 10 celebrities with the worst private plane CO2 emissions

No rich and famous person is safe Famous jets.

In the past few weeks, the automated Twitter account that tracks celebrity flights has flagged the likes of Drake, Kylie Jenner and Taylor Swift for using an environmentally unfriendly private jet.

“The celebrity jet thing is raging [because] Like how many times have we screamed at reusable bags, paper straws, recycling, turning off the lights, etc. just for a few millionaires to take a quick flight from LA to the rest of LA.” -Multi-Millionaire Celebrity

A new study based on data scraped from celebrity jets puts more famous millionaires and billionaires on blast.

Digital marketing company Yard has ranked the 10 worst carbon dioxide (CO2) emitting celebrities based on how often they use their private jets.

“The data looks at the number of flights each star has made so far, the average flight time, miles and total CO2e since the beginning of the year,” the study says.

Overall, these celebrities have so far emitted an average of 3,376 tons of CO2 for using their private jets in 2022, the data shows.

This is 482 times more than the average annual atmospheric emissions.
