Billie Eilish AI art images spark online backlash
Billie Eilish has steadily risen to fame over the past few years. Eilish has been in the news many times with her musical success and her relationship with The Neighbourhood’s Jesse Rutherford.
Recently, a new trend has emerged on TikTok using Ai-generated art, with people using the Grammy Award-winning singer’s face and placing them on inappropriate adult content. Even TikTok has been accused of promoting these overly animated images of the 20-year-old.
Netizens have taken to Twitter to share their distaste for the current trend. One user, @gutmouth, wondered how sharing deep fake images and Ai-generated images of celebrities in this way is disrespectful and promotes objectification. This tweet said:
Netizens are defending Billie Eilish after Ai-generated images flooded the internet
Billie Eilish was at the forefront of not wanting to be seen as *sexual*, and for the longest time, always wore baggy clothes so her body was never a topic of conversation. In June 2021, she posed for the cover of Vogue magazine and showed off her body for the first time.
Since then, Eilish’s body has always been the talk of the town, and now she’s back on the radar with a new trend. Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter are full of AI-generated art, which involves people putting their images through the internet’s many apps and creating an animated version of the original.
Although some people have done this with their own images, others have taken it upon themselves to use images of celebrities and influencers to create similar artwork. A few take it a step further by putting these faces in awkward positions, like p*rn.
Images of Billie Eilish produced in the same way have been circulating the internet and causing a frenzy.

Ai’s start to incorporate young female artists has a new-found fear of becoming too self-absorbed. Other actresses such as Jenna Ortega, Megan Nerian and Megan Fox have fallen victim to this trend and their videos have received millions of views. Big publications like DailyLoud have published these videos.
TikTok has also been accused of promoting these exaggerated images through its algorithm. The app has since removed the original videos, but images and screenshots are still streaming. There is an ongoing bid to abolish AI-generated art because it limits expression and puts real artists at risk.
